Multi-trade Operative / Handyman

Handyman / Multi-trade operative for property renovations.

£38,000 – £40,000 a year depending on experience

Jobs will be within the London area (primarily north London).

Head offices located in Kentish Town and Whetstone.

Established property company who let, manage, refurbish, and maintain property on behalf of other clients, as well their our own, require a Handyman Multi-trade operative to work for their busy company. You will be provided constant work (5 days a week, 8am starts) and the opportunity to work additional days at extra pay. Excellent salary is being offered along with the security of a full time permanent contract.

Electrical
(basic electrics)

Plumbing
(this includes bathroom and kitchen installations eg bath tubs, sinks, toilets etc).. all of which are completed to current plumbing guidelines that meet industry legal standards.

Carpentry
(eg wood work and plasterboard work, doors, skirting, kitchen unit installations etc)

Decorating Painting, tiling etc.
Hold a valid UK driving licence. You can use your own vehicle and be reimbursed for fuel and car maintenance, or company can provide you with vehicle.
Have your own hand and power tools.
Fluent in English. This is very important as you will be communicating with clients and head office in English regarding each job. You must be an effective communicator with excellent customer service skills.
Take pride in your work, providing accurate clean jobs that both function and look excellent. Someone who cleans up during and after jobs and completes them on time to the criteria promised.
As well as the above, the right candidate will:

Love the idea of travelling around London undertaking a wide range of maintenance repairs and odd jobs.
Be an excellent problem solver, able to think outside the box and also make suitable recommendations to better the business.
A person who remains calm, cool and in control under pressure
At least 5 years experience as a handyman that has dealt with property repairs, maintenance & installations.
